If you read the blog you have probably noticed that I have been “missing” for a little while... but I have a good excuse. I had a baby.

While no one was paying attention, Rachel Elizabeth Sharpe began her descent into this world on September 19 2011. Our daughter Avery's birthday is September 18. This was great timing on Rachel's part... I may be behind you, but not by much big sister.

We are gearing up for our next Elizabeth's House event on October 29th, “Daddy Dearest”. We will be exploring the Father/Daughter level of intimacy with God. This is especially close to my heart since the Lord chose to bless me with daughters.

It was actually a prayer I had several years ago. I was attending a prayer meeting for a girls conference that I was involved in. In my prayer I asked the Lord that if I had children, to please bless me with daughters. I knew that I had nothing of value to give to the Lord to thank Him for rescuing me, but I did have the ability to train up righteous daughters... and give them to Him. That's all I've got. And I believe that's all He wants. All of my heart... which quite honestly often lies upon the faces of those two sweet little girls.

I pray that I get to see many of your own sweet faces at “Daddy Dearest” so that I may look at you with the same love that our Savior does.
